		<description><![CDATA[So BART gets to build another gold-plated mistake.  While smaller than the Central Subway, the pattern is the same--design something counterproductive and get a bloated budget to hand out to the contractors who contribute to the politicians.  Very sad.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Very disappointing.  It would be one thing if CM were voting based on correct facts, but it seems as though some are completely clueless.  

Local hiring is not going to happen.  The proposals are already in - and you cannot make this type of change at the last minute.  Most of these jobs (90%) will not be local.

The fares will be what they will be.  If they are set low, the operating costs will have to be covered somewhere else.

The more I write this the more I hate this project.  I&#039;m going to call my CM, Jean Q and give her staff a piece of my mind - call her to the carpet for her false statements regarding the funds.]]></description>
