As I was reading this, I was already trying to form by dream East Bay BRT map in my head. I can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with.

I can’t imagine it would cost anywhere close to the Central Subway price. It wouldn’t be pefect, but if it was added on top of existing service (or maybe replaced some express routes if it could make better time) then it might avoid appearing to change the character of neighborhoods; it would just make life easier for transit riders. Too bad it won’t happen anytime soon.

My semi-educated guess is that this entire plan would cost roughly as much as three blocks of the Central Subway.
