I certainly agree that transit improvements in the 30/45 corridor are very necessary -- but that is not the same as saying that this subway, in its current form, is very necessary. There is a definite disconnect between the huge cost of this project and the not-as-huge benefit. But: more on that later.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I think that although the central subway is very expensive, it is very necessary. The new project (with the tunnel going all the way to Washington Square Park) is a great improvement over the old project.  But I do agree: it is way too short. It&#039;s a start and a start is better than nothing.]]></description>
